The Separation of stone from grain is on the basis of specific gravity of the material. A stream of grain with unwanted stones is fluidized by air flow. The material is fed at the higher level and the clean grain is discharged at the lower level.

The stones (heavies) having higher specific gravity sink lower and closer to the fine wire mesh deck. The oscillation of deck takes the stones towards the higher side where the stones are discharged.

In pressure type, the blower is below screen deck. This is available for capacity up to 4 TPH. In Vacuum type the blower is isolated from the main body and includes suitable cyclone and Dust filter. This eliminates dust problems.
