SELF TUNE PID CONTROLLERS
P I D Controllers Model LC-40 and Lc-60 are extremely versatile and user - friendly process controllers designed for applications where optimal control performance is desired. The use of high resolution ADC, software linearisation for temperature sensors, automatic cold-junction compensation for thermocouples and lead resistance compensation for RTD sensors ensures a high degree of calibration accuracy. The dual digital display provides optimum process information at a glance. Front panel membrane keys are provided for setting input type, range, resolution, calibration offset, control mode, control parameters, alarm mode, auto / manual mode and for selecting self tune and ramp / soak profile utilities. A multi level security system is incorporated for programming the set values to prevent unauthorised data entries and also to make programming simpler. The Non-volatile memory ensures safe retention of all the parameters in the event of power failure. This eliminates the need for batteries. When SELF TUNE utility is selected, the instrument automatically calculates P, I, D terms and removes much of tiresom procedures of manually setting control parameters. RAMP / SOAK PROFILE utility is useful for attaining the desired process levels at a predefined rate and holding the process at and around these levels for a predetermind time. Both the controllers provide a fixed 4 segment (2 Ramp + 2 Soak) profile generator with "Ramp Hold" and "Soak Hold" facility. LC-60 optionally allows serial communication with host Computer through RS - 485 communication port. |
